Where did you grow up?I grew up here, in Billings, Montana. I attended Castle Rock Middle School and graduated from Skyview High School.Where did you go to university?I studied at Dakota Wesleyan University as a two-sport athlete, playing football and participating in track and field. After DWU, I moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, and graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School at Western Michigan University.When you were five years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?I wanted to be a sports agent, like Jerry Maguire.Why did you decide to pursue a career in law?I was studying business law in college, which I didn’t particularly enjoy, but my professor asked me to intern at his law firm (I needed an internship to graduate). Halfway through my internship, I naturally gravitated toward personal injury law and helping people in my community.What is your primary area of practice?I specialize in personal injury and family law, while still practicing a bit of criminal law to keep my skills sharp.What is the most rewarding part of this job?It's the knowledge you gain over time and the ability to use it. Every day, I learn something new, and that’s what I truly love. With that knowledge, it's rewarding to be able to use information to help my community.What are some of your hobbies outside of work?I enjoy the outdoors like most people, but I really love riding motorcycles and snowmobiles.If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?I've been a huge Superman fan since watching the 1940s Superman cartoons at my grandparents' house. I would love to have the power of flight, super hearing, and laser vision!
