Where did you grow up?Just like Vince and my brother Layne, I grew up in Billings, Montana. I attended Bench Elementary, Castle Rock Middle School, and graduated from Skyview High School.Where did you go to university?I earned my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Education from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota. After my studies at DWU, I earned my Juris Doctor from Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia. There, I was a member of the Criminal Defense Team and obtained a certificate in Natural Resources. During law school, I worked at the Deputy County Attorney’s Office at the Yellowstone County Courthouse.When you were five years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?At the age of five, I wanted to be a professional baseball player.Why did you decide to pursue a career in law?I realized I wanted to pursue law while attending Skyview High School, in Mr. Jette’s government class. I simply found the law very interesting.What is your primary area of practice?I practice criminal law, expungements, bankruptcy, family law, and personal injury. I am licensed to practice in Montana, North Dakota, and the U.S. Federal District Court of Montana.What is the most rewarding part of this job?As a lawyer, you have the unique ability to help people. When you win a case or help your client get the settlement they deserve, and you see that smile, that’s when it’s all worth it.What advice would you give to someone who wants to join your team?My advice to anyone who wants to become a lawyer is to never stop trying. Never stop believing in yourself. But most importantly, never give up. When your time comes—and it will—you will be ready.What are some of your hobbies outside of work?When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me coaching at the local gym or fly fishing in one of Montana’s many beautiful rivers.If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?If I could be any superhero, I would be Vegeta from the Dragon Ball franchise.
